Apparently the Board has met and sifted through all the applications to become openSUSE Members I loved the reasons some individuals put as to why they should be approved my favourite was quote: “opensuse is cool. I want to support it“. I await my rejection with bated breath.
Seeing as I was born and grew up in London I get loads of comments about my accent, having moved slowly up the United Kingdom to that sunny Utopian place that is known to the free world as the West Midlands I generally get stuff like What r yow doin ere or the one that has me rolling about with laughter Are you Australian?.
Anyway today I had an email that raised-the-bar. Novell sent me some sort of news letter in German! I cant speak German let alone read it. Im not 100% clear how they got my address true I do have a Novell login account and an openSUSE account but they dont have that particular email address associated with them (I think) So now apparently along with all the other misconceptions regarding my accent Im German too.
